About Redbone
Redbone Recruiting is a Hispanic, woman-owned company that understands the power of community, opportunity, and reflection.
Founded in 2023 by Karla Torosian, Redbone Recruiting was created to solve a problem she witnessed firsthand over 20+ years inside San Diego's nonprofit community: the best local leadership talent was being overlooked.
Too many searches pull from the same recycled pool of executive candidates. That may seem fine until you realize recycled candidates produce recycled results. At Redbone, we don't give you more of the same. We look for candidates who bring the vision, passion, expertise, and energy to forge new paths. And because our candidates already live and lead locally within the communities you serve, diversity and culture fit aren't something we have to work for — it's built in from the start.
More About Karla
President & Founder
Karla brings more than 20 years of nonprofit experience to her work as a volunteer, board member, and trusted advisor. She sees recruiting as a powerful tool for building inclusive, people-centered cultures from the inside out. Her path to recruiting started with her first business, launched in 2008 in San Diego's Hillcrest neighborhood. After selling the company, she discovered her natural gift for connecting people and solving hard problems. Redbone Recruiting is where that gift found its purpose.
